Free Cards?!

So, Tiny Prints is giving away free Christmas cards!
Who doesn't like FREE?! I know I DO!!!!
they have TONS and TONS of cards to choose from!
I love these, just to name a few:
I love the simplicity of this one! Very classic.
The colors of this one are so pretty! And I would love to use that many pictures!
I like the cool blues of this one. Very simple and classic, again.
See a trend?
LOVE THE COLORS and the FOLD OUT!!!! So unique! This
one is definitely in my top 3!
Love the pretty font! And again, multiple pictures!

This one is so cute! The round shape is neat! And I love
the symmetry of the pictures.

I always take a pictures of my kids in front of our
Christmas tree in some cute pj's for our card pictures!
I let them hold a wrapped present and look all cute
posing for the camera. They end up so cute and I always put the date
on the card, too, so I can keep up with years. I also like seeing
how our tree and presents change and grow from year to year!

My tree holds our Christmas cards from family and friends, too.
I stick each card in as an ornament! They always shine with the lights
and I can look at pictures all day! :) I also have a card wreath with
wooden clips that I made, but I hang jingle bells from it instead of cards.

Tiny Prints is such a cute site! You must go see it now! Here is the link again:
I love their holiday line. I love all the color choices and different card options
available this year! Can't ask for much more! :)
Now, get to shopping!!!!

Not Much Happenin'

While I am on hiatus from work for the next week, I plan on doing a lot of...
Crafting. Thanks to Pinterest, my craft blood has
started pumping and I cannot WAIT to get making and baking! This time of year
always gets me like this, and now that I have all my crafts
neatly organized.... I am ready to roll. I have my list of things to get and
the plan of how I am going to do it all!
I put up Christmas this week, too.. all except for hooking up the lights outside.
I still have one more garland to make, too. That is on my to-do list for either today
or tomorrow. I have been cleaning out rooms, toys, and clothes all in preparation
for Santa Claus. He's got big plans this year. Plans, being the keyword. ;)
Kyler has already sent two letters to Santa (yes, in the mailbox to the North Pole)...
and is already counting down days until he comes...Harper is oblivious to the whole
Santa thing, but this year is sure to be FUN on Christmas morning. She has already
taken every ornament off the tree and put it back on about 10 times. And all of my
decorations around the house... never in the spot that I put them. She treats my nutcrackers
like her baby dolls. I found them covered up with a blanket and a cup by their head
yesterday. HA! She is a little momma, for sure.

See.. now I am out of things to talk about. Nothing is that interesting around
here, lately... Other than a couple of doctor visits and some antibiotics,
things are pretty chill and quiet. Until the kiddos get home, of course. Then it's
pure chaos until time for bed. But that is how we like it. :)

OH! I almost forgot. We FINALLY got some family pictures made
last week. Yea, the cheesy ones where we all wore white shirts
and jeans. But I really wanted a simple look with all 4 of us. Finally.
I can't post the link straight from here, but I did post a link
on Facebook. Check 'em out!

Yes, I know.. it's blurry... wouldn't let me save it from
the website! Sorry!

Catch Up

I know. I know. Almost a month again.
Maybe it's my new thing. Waiting about a month to make
a new blog. And no, I don't have any spectacular
news to share or talk about how busy I have been. Just life.

In recent news... we've been to the Pumpkin Patch (the now FAMOUS
one that is about 2 seconds from my house), the Buffalo Park with
Kyler's class, I went on a field trip with my kiddos at school, had
a couple of fabulous days with my BFF, Micaa, and I went to the Extraodinary
Women conference over the weekend!

Ok. Pumpkin Patch. It's a yearly tradition around these parts. People
come from all over just to come our little pumpkin patch. To take
pictures. To have birthday parties. To just hang out. And to get the
biggest and prettiest pumpkins around! It's always a blast and they
make it bigger and better every year! Check them out. They are called
Country Pumpkins. Really awesome!

Then we went to the Buffalo Park with Kyler's class. Another
yearly tradition. Here we are in 2010:
And this year, 2011:
Kyler's class riding on the trolley!
 Roos!
H feeding the giraffe, Tall Boy.
 HEY Sunshine!
 Love my girl!
 Pickin' out his pumpkin.
 like brother like sister.
 posin'.

This weekend was the Extraordinary Women's Conference
in Tupelo. Funny story on how I ended up going. I was
going to buy my ticket a couple of weeks ago (they were $60)
and decided not to. Just needed that $60 for other things,
ya know.. like bills. and gas. and bills. Anyways... I hadn't
thought that much about it, but I prayed that if God wanted me
to go, there would be a way for me to go. Well, just this
past Wednesday, my BFF, Micaa, texted me and asked if I still
wanted to go. The conference people were GIVING AWAY 500
tickets to the first 500 people who responded in certain length of time!
How divine is that! So, obviously, she e-mailed them about it, and they
sent a ticket! She forwarded it to me, and WHA LA! I get to go to the
conference! For FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
(Watch Bedtime Stories if you haven't already and you'll know why I said it like that.)
So, we had a fantabulous time today in Tupelo. Sat in the conference and
had lunch at Las Margaritas, minus the margaritas.
We got to hear many awesome speakers, including Lysa Terkerust
who does Proverbs 31 Ministries on KLOVE and other blogs, and the best
speaker of the day, Governor Sarah Palin. She knows what she's talking about!
Let me tell you, I nodded at everything that woman had to say today.
She is so intelligent, grounded, and compassionate for the people of our country.
She is definitely a firecracker and one to watch for in the near future!!!

So, that's about all that has been going on around here. Kyler is learning
a lot in school and loves to tell us the new Bible verses and stories each week.
Harper thinks she is about 14 and is the boss at home and school. Me and D,
well we work and work and work and work. And when the time comes, we sleep.
Life is going by, and we are trying to live it up while we can!

Until next time... in about a month! (HA. I will try to do better!)

Calling All Superheroes...

So, we had a FABULOUS birthday party on Saturday!
Kyler Channing is turning 5, which I have already blogged about,
so we went ahead and his party this weekend. He will, of course,
get cupcakes sent with him to school on Tuesday (his real birthday)
to celebrate yet again.

We did a superhero theme this year. He is so into the heroes
so it only made sense. And with all the movies out this
summer, it was so easy to find superhero stuff! I went with
most of the Marvel heroes, and added a few of the D.C. Comics
in there, too. Everything ended up being so cute and the kids
had a blast. Really. All 22 kids that came. Ya. 22. And I stopped
counting adults at 37. So, we had a small gathering, HA!
Most of Kyler's class from school came, which was so fun for him!
We also had cousins Jayce, Rylee, Savannah, and Ethan as always...

Perfect weather for an outside party. It was gorgeous outside! Everyone
ran around and socialized and had a good time. It was so nice! I am
so thankful for everyone who helped and donated (HA) to this event.
D, especially, for moving everything around in the backyard hundreds of
times until I made up my mind where I wanted it all... and for
moving and loading that huge jumper we had... that thing was a HIT
with those kids. Kept them entertained the entire time.

Ok.. here's the run down with pictures, of course!

Main set up:

Jumper!

tables with hero decor, of course. I had checkers, card games,
bingo, and coloring pages set up at tables for everyone to play.

Cape decorating table! BJ made the capes and I got stickers and
crayons for the kids to decorate their own. This was so fun for them!

I never got a full picture of the food table... As soon as I put it all out,
it was gone. Literally. We went through 60 hot dogs, 50 ham/turkey
roll ups, 4 boxes of strawberries, 3 bags of apples, 2 bags of grapes,
2 bags of mixed veggies with ranch, 3 batches of sausage dip and chips, and 9 gallons of lemonade/pink lemonade/blue punch. And we had a whole cake and Cookie Mama
cookies! All of that food was gone in about 30 minutes. I had some
hungry superheroes, apparently.

Superhero toys!

Superhero family.

Superhero cousins.

The whole day was perfect and I had such a good time enjoying
with friends and family. My sweet boy is almost 5 years old.
Hard to believe. He is so big and "grown." And so smart. He
can count to 100 (the slow way, not cheating), speaks a few words
in Spanish, knows about 15 Bible stories by heart, has about 10
Bible verses memorized (they learn a new one each week at school),
adores his little sister (most of the time), and loves loves loves his daddy.
And his momma. :)
Happy Birthday (on Tuesday) to my Kyler Channing!
