Currently...

So I stole this from someone else, but isn't that how blogging started anyways?! Just something little... tomorrow I will start this February challenge:

But, until then.. here's what's going on with me and us, "currently."

Current Guilty Pleasure: sleeping late and staying in my pajamas all day on Saturday. every Saturday.

Current Play List: Klove in my car, on my computer, anywhere. I'm taking the 30 day challenge. :)

Current Read:"Not A Fan" journal devotional. Pretty interesting so far. It's making me look at myself. On the inside. Which isn't pretty sometimes.

Current Drink:Water mostly, and my addiction of Root Beer any chance I can get it at a restaurant.

Current Food:Yogurt covered raisins and strawberries.

Current Favorite Show:Grey's Anatomy (yes, I am that girl) and Cake Boss.

Current Wishlist:a new cellular device would be nice and a money tree?!

Current Needs:I am in no "need" of anything. My "want" list is forever long, though. In all seriousness, the things I need are: more prayer (by me) and more "family" time outside of my house.

Current Blessing:a loving husband, two healthy and beautiful children, a job (sometimes), transportation to that job, a roof over my head,  a best friend that no other has, and family all around.

Current Triumphs:making it this far in my first year of teaching (halfway through the 3rd 9 weeks)

Current Indulgence:caramel cappuccinos and homemade chocolate chip cookies

Current Excitement:tomorrow is HUMP DAY! that means only 3 more days until the weekend! :) :) I live for Saturday and Sunday these days. Really.

Weekend on the Town...

I finally got to go into Columbus for the first time in over 3 weeks. That is pretty sad, I know. I drive to Aberdeen and back everyday, so by the time I get home, I don't want to drive anywhere else. And for the last 3 weekends, we have been at home sick or just resting. Lazy? Yes. Much needed? Yes. But this weekend was different. D and I actually went out to eat! YEAH! We went to The Grill. A usual place for us in Columbus. We got appetizer, main course, AND dessert! :) That is big timing for us! It was so good, too. I forgot what restaurant food tasted like. Ha. Then we did a Wal-Mart and Kroger run. We went to bed early and slept in late. As in 10 a.m. late. How heavenly it was, too. We did a little yard work and let the kiddos play in their bounce house. They played outside for at least 2 hours, if not more. It was so pretty outside today and we were all soaking it up! This weather is completely random in the middle of our "winter," but it is so nice! We all got dressed and went into town to meet my mom and grandmother at... wait for it.... our newest addition to Columbus... CHICK-FIL-A! YES! We finally got one! :) And it has been PACKED since it opened. I mean, wrapped around the building, can't get in the door packed. But, we waited in line and it was totally worth it. This girl LOVES their chicken. And, they are a Christian based company! So Christian chicken! What could be better! :) :) After our savory chicken sandwiches... K asked to go to Smackers. Can't go eat with the kiddos and not go to Smackers! So off we went! I got my usual white chocolate with coffee beans and heath bar pieces. YUM. YUM. YUM. Everytime. K got something strange I am sure. It was my grandmother's first Smackers experience, to which she was excited and overly pleased. Strawberry with banana pudding. Oh ya. It was good.
Getting ready for another week, getting clothes laid out, lunches planned, dinner planned, and schedules set. I am FINALLY getting my hair done this week! It is desperate for a highlight and a cut. Still debating on whether to chop it off or leave it long. Hmmmm... We'll see. H has her one year appt. for her tubes in her ears. Hoping all goes well with that! I can't ever tell if they are still in there or not! And they are so little, we wouldn't see them even if they did fall out!
BTW.... only 15 weeks of school in the school year. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. And all the other praises I can think of. Whew. This year has done it in for me, and I am marking my days down until May 25th. Seriously. I mark an "X" on the calendar everyday when I get home. Whoever is reading this.. y'all just pray that opportunities and doors are opened and God's will is and will be done as far as my career goes. And D's career. He is thinking and contemplating a lot these days, and we need some clarity as to what path he needs to take and how to take it! We know God is working, but some signs sometimes wouldn't hurt! :) Oh ya, I found the cutest valentine's to make for the kids' classes this year! Can't wait to make and show them! Thanks, Pinterest! (totally addictive and bad for your job and home life ;)
Here's the only picture from this weekend. Yes, I know. I am totally slacking. One thing at a time...

And this is just because I like it. Really... Pretty cool!

Remember This...

Holiday Wrap Up... LATE!

Ok, ok... here it is. The busy holiday season... in pictures. I honestly can't sit and write out every detail of everything that happened. Y'all know how big our family is... so y'all know how chaotic and awesome it all was, too!  I will tell you.. I hosted Christmas Eve dinner at my house. Which is big. HUGE. I love company..I really do. But I am so OCD about my house being clean that I have never brought myself to allow a dinner INSIDE. We have birthday parties and other gatherings all the time.. but they are all OUTSIDE. This was the first one that was INSIDE. But it turned out great and everyone was good about helping me keep things clean. Even when I was sweeping under feet the whole time. :)

Christmas Day was fabulous, as always. Both kiddos got all thegifts, I do believe. Each year we say we aren't going to go all out.. but neither set of grandparents listen to us.. and when it comes down to it, we don't listen to ourselves either. Harper is just SOOOOOO easy to buy for. I just can't help myself. And Kyler Channing... gah.. he is so fun! :)

Anyways... New Years was pretty chill. We stayed home and were in  the bed before midnight. Ya. My kind of party animal night.

So, here is our holiday wrap up in pictures. Enjoy!

I know, I know...

I am alive. I promise. Just have NO excuse for my not blogging. Really...
Just the thought of catching up on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years...
gah. I might just do a quick picture post. Maybe.
Other than that... school, school, and school. Did I mention school? Yeah,
that's my life. School, cooking, and bathing kiddos. Pretty much sums it up!
The last three weekends I have done absolutely nothing. Seriously. How lazy is that?
I should feel ashamed. But I don't. Well, maybe a little. But, really.. when you work
where I do... it takes your entire body's storage of energy to make it through the week
and by the weekend, all you can physically do is lay on the couch. Really.

Ok.. next post.. promise it will be filled with pictures and some positiveness. :) And it will be soon. : ) : )
